Shannon Toon was recently elected Vice-President/President-Elect of the Memphis Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Shannon will take over as President in 2007.
The Young Lawyers Division of the Memphis Bar Association assists new attorneys in establishing their practice. In addition to offering training and continuing education courses, the Young Lawyers Division sponsors social and sporting events and public service activities, including the High School Mock Trial Competition, Legal Lines, and a 5K race to benefit a local charitable organization.
Mr. Toon has been on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division since 2002. He is a 1991 graduate of Union City High School and received an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville before attending the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis where he received his Doctorate of Juris Prudence in 1999. He joined the Hill Boren law firm in 2003. He is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Association for Justice and American Association for Justice.
The Hill Boren law firm was founded by T. Robert Hill in 1970. Since that time, it has become the largest personal injury firm in the state of Tennessee. Hill Boren has offices in Jackson, Tennessee at 1269 N. Highland Avenue, and in Memphis, Tennessee at 191 Jefferson Avenue.
