If your job requires you to do repetitive tasks while working on an assembly line or using such machines as power tools, sewing machines, screw drivers, etc, you are at a high risk of developing a repetitive work injury. These type of injuries include carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), trigger finger or trigger thumb, de Quervain's syndrome and even some shoulder-type injuries. If you feel that you are having problems with your wrists, fingers, elbows or shoulders due to your repetitive work, then you need to inform your employer immediately.

Under the law, your employer should provide you with a choice of three doctors and you can choose one of them for treatment. These type of injuries are covered by workers' compensation and you are entitled to medical care, disability benefits while being off work and, if a permanent impairment results, you are entitled to permanent disability payments. These injuries are very common in assembly line work.
