The Tennessee Personal Injury law firm now known as Hill Boren P.C. was founded in August of 1970 by T. Robert Hill. The firm has grown to 12 lawyers, and over 25 employees serving approximately 1,000 clients annually, generating millions of dollars in personal injury, worker's compensation and medical malpractice awards and judgments.

Hill Boren P.C. is the largest law firm in the state that devotes its full professional time and attention to the representation of working people in the following areas:

  1. Construction Injuries
  2. Heart Attacks and Strokes on the Job
  3. Back Injuries
  4. Carpal Tunnel
  5. Repetitive Injuries

In 1979, Ricky Boren joined the firm. His name is part of the permanent firm name and he is a shareholder in the firm. Chris Taylor became shareholder in 2001. He works primarily in the Memphis, Tennessee office.

In 1980, property was purchased at the corner of Highland Avenue and West Forest Avenue in Jackson and construction was started on the "Trial Lawyers Building" as growth required more space. Phase II of the "Trial Lawyers Building" was completed in December of 1988. The facilities have been recognized by the Jackson City Beautiful program.

In 1993, the law firm opened an office in Memphis, Tennessee. Most recently, the firm purchased and moved to a building at 191 Jefferson, conveniently located just a block away from the Shelby County Court House.

In 1994, Mr. Hill was part of the trial team recognized by The National Law Journal as one of the 1994 leading product liability recoveries in the U.S. The law firm is also recognized for the landmark case of McIntyre v. Ballentine which changed the standard of law in negligence cases.

Hill Boren recently expanded the Memphis office to service Tennessee's growing Hispanic population. In addition to workers' compensation and personal injury cases, the bilingual staff in the Memphis office are assisting workers and their families with their immigration needs.

Firm employees serve on the various Board of Directors or committees including the Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, Boys Club, YMCA, and the Tennessee Association for Justice. The Hill Boren Law Firm is the only firm with two past TTLA presidents currently practicing personal injury law.
