Trasylol WARNING

Trasylol, a drug manufactured by Bayer, was pulled from the market in November 2007. This drug is most often used to prevent bleeding during heart bypass surgery. Before it was removed from the market, about a third of all bypass patients had received Trasylol.

In a particularly horrifying installment of the popular CBS program “60 Minutes” that aired on Sunday, February 17th, the drug Trasylol was exposed as a lethal cocktail for those undergoing heart surgery. The problem was the drug caused renal (kidney) failure, often leading to the patient’s death. This drug was also proven to increase risk of heart attack, stroke or encephalopathy (degenerative brain diseases).

If you or a family member experienced kidney failure, heart attack, heart failure, stroke, encephalopathy or other side effects as a result of Trasylol, contact us for a free evaluation of your case.
