What is Cardiac By-pass surgery?
When the circulation of the heart is restricted by heart disease resulting in severe angina or even heart attack, surgery to 'by-pass' the clogged arteries is often recommended. By-pass surgery is also know as CABG (cabbage) or Cardiac Artery By-Pass Graft. Trayslol was used in about one-third to one-half of all open-heart CABG surgeries.
